A New way to gain MPG in your daily commute

October 29, 2008 by Barchinski

To a couple of people it was a goal to prove to one city that a simple road bike ride can shave some minutes off your daily commute. A group of about 30 cyclists known as “Crimanimal Mass” took their second road bike trip on the L.A freeway during one of the busiest times of the day, rush hour, about a month ago. After many heads were turned and horns were honked it wasn’t until the Santa Monica Daily Press released an interview with Morgan Strauss, one of the group’s organizers, stating “We just wanted to raise questions about the transportation infrastructure. In a city ruled by cars, why is it that you can get places faster on bike?” as to why this demonstration took place.

It was a test of ambition and integrity that showed with a little determination that one can prove the simplest deed. L.A one of the biggest cities in the country has become so condensed with its reputation that the people who actually run its transportation routes have some glitches in the system. A simple structure as a road bike can easily get a single individual from point A to point B without causing one to stress.
